MEET THE PHOTOGRAPHER
I am Miranda Kirchhoff; owner, creator, and photographer of Twister K Photography. I want to start off by saying, I am so glad that you are here! I am a full-time 6th grade teacher and part-time photographer. I started this business in the summer of 2020. When I bought my first, used camera I had not the faintest idea that I would be where I am today. I am thankful to say that over the past year and a half my photography has grown and prospered into a business that is keeping me on my toes. I cherish the moments I get to spend with families, creating memories that will last a lifetime. Families that I've known for years, families that I just met, and families that I get to watch and grow through my lens. How lucky am I to get to capture such big moments; weddings, engagements, vow renewals, birthdays, holidays, and the list keeps going.
I am married to my husband, Spencer Kirchhoff who farms and ranches. Together we enjoy all things outdoors; hunting, fishing, and ranger rides. I mainly enjoy baking while he is more of the cook of the household. I also enjoy time spent with my family, taking pictures and documenting all the aspects of our lives. They are my biggest supporter of my small business, and for that I am grateful. They have been by my side since the being of Atchison Photography (now known as Twister K Photography). I love that photography has given me an avenue to show my creative and imaginative side. I enjoy the challenge that photography brings and trying new things through my lens.
You will find that my style of photography is more realistic and natural. I relish in the photos taken with an outstanding sunrise or sunset. I like to capture moments with nature and your pets (horses, cattle, dogs, cats, etc.) vs. being in a studio. However, I have recently added to my collection of photography "goodies", and now have equipment to take indoor newborn and head shot photos. I hope that through my work, website, and social media you find inspiration.
